Nemours Children's Hospital, Florida
I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. At an early age, I felt I could best help people by being a doctor. I fell in love with otolaryngology during medical school, fascinated by the anatomy of the head and neck, especially the ear. This led me to a fellowship in hearing (otology), how the brain helps us hear (neurotology) and skull base surgery. Finding and treating ear illness early is so important to preventing hearing loss, dizziness and facial weakness. Happy, healthy, hearing children function better at home and at school — and have a much better chance of reaching their full potential in life as they grow and learn. Not being able to hear well affects every part of a child’s life. So I am passionate about hearing health and committed to finding a way to maximize the hearing ability of every child I treat. I am especially interested in the areas of:Chronic ear diseaseCholesteatomaCochlear implantationHearing lossAcoustic neuromaEar canal atresiaAuditory neuropathyLateral skullbase encephalocelesMicrotia/AtresiaVestibular schwanommas My team, including our nurses and audiologists, are all focused on individualizing care for each child. We have many state-of-the-art options available, from surgical procedures to non-surgical treatments and hearing technologies. Dr. Patni is highly rated in 18 conditions, according to our data.
