I am a radiation oncologist specializing in genitourinary cancers, such as prostate and bladder cancer. I went into radiation oncology because of the ability to use radiation as a tool to cure patients and improve their quality of life. When I meet someone for a consult, I like to gain an understanding of who they are and where they are coming from so that we can come up with a management plan that aligns with their values. I think an important aspect of my job is to educate and ensure that every patient fully understands the treatment options available so that they feel confident about their decision. Outside of work, I like to spend time with my family cooking, traveling, watching Clemson football games, and exploring the Durham food scene.
