He later joined as faculty at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.He has served in various leadership roles such as Chief Resident, Medical Director of Psychiatric Emergency Services, Medical Director of inpatient psychiatric pediatric unit, Medical Director of consultation and liaison service, Medical Director of pediatric outpatient services, Division Chief of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Program Director of Adult Psychiatry Residency Program. He enjoys working in the clinical setting which fostered his experiences in scholarly, academic, and administrative domains.He is passionate about teaching and working to provide the best interventions to those in need. He has diverse background working in collaborative settings on multidisciplinary teams consisting of but not limited to nurse practitioners, residents, fellows, medical students, and patient advocates.
