Dr. DeHaan attended the University of Michigan for her undergraduate education and medical degree. She also completed her Pediatrics residency training at the University of Michigan C.S. Mott's Children's Hospital. She then worked as a general pediatrician in Northern California for more than 10 years at Palo Alto Medical Foundation.
