Dr. Sean M. Lannon

Dr. Sean Lannon is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. With 12 years of experience, his specialties include ankle replacement, foot and ankle deformity correction, sports injuries, and foot and ankle trauma. He also has expertise in: Achilles rupture and tendonitis Ankle sprains, arthritis and fractures Bunions Calcaneus fractures Claw toes Flat feet Foot sprains, arthritis and fractures Hammertoe High arches Osteochondral lesions Plantar fasciitis Subtalar arthritis Tarsal tunnel syndrome Tendon injury Dr. Lannon strives to work with each patient to develop a plan to get them back on their feet, regardless of whether that involves surgery. Dr. Lannon’s Training Dr. Lannon earned a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology at Loyola University in Chicago, where he graduated magna cum laude and also received his medical degree. He was recognized for honors in research during his medical training. Dr. Lannon completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa, where he served as chief resident in his final year, and a foot and ankle surgery fellowship at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. About Dr. Lannon Dr. Lannon is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and he is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. His professional memberships include the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, National Football League Physicians Society and Orthopaedic Trauma Association. He serves as a team physician for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Bay Lightning and is a foot and ankle consultant for the New York Yankees. His research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals, and Dr. Lannon has presented his work at national conferences. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his spouse and daughters and watching the Lightning, Buccaneers and San Antonio Spurs. Dr. Lannon has a lifelong interest in golf and following the PGA Tour after playing golf for Loyola and earning varsity letters each year.

His clinical expertise encompasses Achilles Tendon Rupture, Flat Feet, Tendinitis, Hammer Toe, and Hip Replacement.

Dr. Lannon is board certified in American Board Of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is actively involved in clinical research, co-authoring 1 peer reviewed article.
