Dr. Michelle Scerbo earned her undergraduate degree in neurobiology at The University of Texas at Austin, followed by a master’s in health informatics and a medical degree at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). In addition to completing an internship and residency in general surgery, she completed a fellowship in minimally invasive, robotic and bariatric surgery at McGovern Medical School. Dr. Scerbo, who is board certified in surgery, has been in practice since 2012. Her clinical interests include bariatric surgery, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), foregut surgery, gallbladder surgery, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, gastrointestinal surgery, gastrointestinal endoscopy, abdominal hernia surgery, achalasia, acid reflux disease, anti-reflux surgery, laparoscopic surgery, minimally invasive surgery, obesity and robotic-assisted surgery.
