Dr. Baruch D. Kuppermann is board-certified UCI Health ophthalmologist who specializes in macular degeneration, eye inflammation and retina and vitreous surgery.He earned his medical degree at the University of Miami in Florida and PhD in neuroscience at the California Institute of Technology. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles in major journals, as well as chapters in major textbooks. He also has volunteered on medical missions to provide eye care and train local physicians in Africa, Asia, Europe and South America since 2000.
