I’m extremely excited to be a part of the Sports Medicine team at Duke Health. As a non-operative provider, I have a focus on musculoskeletal injuries - especially those related to athletics. I provide diagnostic ultrasound care as well as therapeutic injections. My primary focus is putting you on the path to return to your active lifestyle.

I am a shoulder, knee, hip, and sports medicine surgeon at Duke Health and am heavily involved in minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques and the prevention of sports injuries. I cultivated these interests during my time in the military. My areas of interest and expertise are in shoulder and knee injuries in athletes and techniques and treatments to return these patients back to high levels of function or sport. I treat conditions, such as shoulder dislocations, rotator cuff tears, and shoulder arthritis with a joint replacement. My knee expertise is in ligament, cartilage, and meniscus injuries. I am a sports medicine surgeon, specializing in injuries of the knee, shoulder, elbow, and ankle/foot. I treat patients of all ages from pediatrics to master’s athletes and the weekend warrior to professionals. I perform complex shoulder surgery, including shoulder stabilization, rotator cuff surgery, superior capsular reconstruction, and reverse arthroplasty. I also do complex knee surgery, including ACL and meniscus surgery, patellar stabilizations, multi-ligament knee injuries, and advanced techniques for cartilage preservation and restoration. I also utilize the latest minimally-invasive techniques to treat foot and ankle injuries, including ankle instability, cartilage restoration, Achilles injuries, and fractures.
