I care for adult patients with a variety of health issues, including acute illnesses, chronic diseases like diabetes and high blood pressure, and preventative care. I chose to practice in primary care and internal medicine because I love getting to know patients over time and forming lasting, therapeutic relationships. I believe that good communication is the foundation of good care. I strive to listen carefully to my patients and understand their unique challenges and goals. I work closely with patients to develop clear and realistic treatment plans. My first career was in public health, working at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. As a result of this training, I have a strong focus on disease prevention and evidence-based care. I like to remain up-to-date on the latest scientific findings and incorporate these into my practice. Outside of work, I enjoy playing tennis and spending time with my husband and two children.
