Overview
My practice consists of treatment of cataracts, corneal disease and refractive surgery. I care for patients with all types of cataracts and have a special interest in refractive cataract surgery – using advanced and premium intraocular lens implants to reduce the need for glasses after cataract surgery. This involves use of toric lens implants to reduce astigmatism and multifocal lens implants to reduce the need for reading glasses. I also have a special interest in refractive surgery – using LASIK and PRK to reduce nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. I also use phakic lens implants to treat very high degrees of nearsightedness. I also have a special interest in all forms of corneal transplants – including partial or lamellar transplants – DMEK, DSAEK, DALK and standard corneal transplants. I enjoy educating patients and involving them in the decision making process of their pre- and post-surgical care. I greatly appreciate the advances in technology and surgical techniques and the advantages they have for improving outcomes and providing faster recovery.
