Dr. McCann serves as Associate Program Director at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center Graduate Clinical Research Center. She is also Director of the Anxiety Disorders Program and Co-Director of the Center for Interdisciplinary Sleep Medicine and Research at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Dr. McCann received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Princeton University. She earned her M.D. from Duke University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Stanford University School of Medicine, where she also performed a fellowship in psychiatry. Dr. McCann joined the Johns Hopkins faculty in 1999. Her research interests include amphetamine-induced monoamine neurotoxicity and the neurobiology of anxiety disorders. Dr. McCann is a member of the Society for Neuroscience. She speaks both English and Spanish.

Her clinical expertise encompasses Bipolar Disorder (BPD), Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Traumatic Brain Injury, and Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).

Dr. Mccann is board certified in American Board Of Psychiatry And Neurology. She is actively involved in clinical research, co-authoring 23 peer reviewed articles.
