Dr. Xavier Jimenez
Overview
I am a physician with specialized training in psychiatry, pain medicine, addiction medicine, and clinical ethics. My interests are in the intersections between medical and psychiatric disorders, helping patients with chronic debilitating conditions, and helping with medically-unexplained symptoms. Prior to Northwell, I have trained and worked in numerous academic medical centers including Massachusetts General Hospital (Harvard Medical School), University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and the Cleveland Clinic. At the Cleveland Clinic specifically, I was both the Director of the Chronic Pain Rehabilitation Program of the Neurological Institute and a member of the Department of Bioethics. Over the years I have educated and mentored many trainee physicians of different specialties, and I have contributed to scientific and medical literature via nearly 50 peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters.
