Dr. Visvanathan is a Professor on faculty at Johns Hopkins. She is a practicing medical oncologist and cancer epidemiologist focused on translating discoveries to the clinic and population as a whole. She directs the Clinical Cancer Genetics and Prevention service at Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center (SKCCC) and is an active member of the Breast and Ovarian Program and Cancer Prevention and Control Program. With her research centered on primary and secondary prevention of breast and ovarian cancer, her goal is to reduce the incidence of and mortality from breast cancer globally by conducting impactful studies at the local, national, and international levels. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, Dr. Stone was an assistant professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where she was one of five gynecologic oncologists serving the entire state. Dr. Stone is internationally recognized for her research pertaining to early diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cancer. She is widely published in the field of gynecologic oncology, with first-author papers in the New England Journal of Medicine and Lancet Oncology, as well as over 40 co-authored manuscripts in peer-reviewed medical journals. Dr. Levinson received her undergraduate degree from Tufts University.
