Cochlear Implantation After Gamma Knife Radiosurgery with EABR and Correlation to Postoperative Hearing Results - a Pilot Study
Summary: Patients undergoing cochlear implantation after radio surgery for vestibular schwannoma will be included in the study. Patients will undergo preoperative and intraoperative eABR measurement. Correlations to postoperative hearing results will be drawn.
Dose-staged Gamma Knife Radiosurgery Versus Microsurgical Resection - Evaluation of Neurosurgical Treatment Methods for Patients With Larger Brain Metastases - an Explorative Prospective Study
Summary: Background. Brain metastases (BM) are the most common intracranial tumor and occur in 20-40% of all oncological patients. The most common primary cancer in brain metastases is lung cancer, followed by melanoma, breast cancer, renal cancer and colorectal cancer. The incidence of brain metastases has been increasing but the occurrence of brain metastases is still associated with high morbidity and p...
MR-Fingerprinting for the Prediction of the Response of Vestibular Schwannomas to Gamma Knife Radiosurgery
Summary: MR Fingerprinting (MRF) will be performed in patients who will be treated with Gamma Knife radio surgery for a vestibular schwannoma before the intervention. Fifty patients will be included with a vestibular schwannoma of minimum 1cm in size. During follow-up, response of the tumor to radiosurgery will be evaluated for each patient with MRI. The aim of the study is to find patterns of vestibular s...
