Dr. Raykar is an associate surgeon in the Division of Trauma, Burn and Surgical Critical Care and Emergency General Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Raykar completed his general surgery residency at Harvard Medical School/Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he served as chief resident for Education. He was a lead author for the Lancet Commission on Global Surgery and led the commission’s initial implementation efforts. He serves as fellowship director for the Harvard Medical School Program in Global Surgery and Social Change and is a faculty member of the Brigham and Women’s Center for Surgery and Public Health.
