I am an orthopaedic surgeon that specializes in anterior-based muscle sparing hip replacements and muscle-sparing knee replacements, as well as nonsurgical treatments for hip and knee pain. Additionally, I treat patients who have had a previous hip or knee replacement that is causing symptoms or dysfunction. When I meet patients, I devote time to learn about them, what their priorities are, and how their hip or knee issue is impacting their life. Based on their ailment, I'll help guide them to select the treatment options that are best suited for them. The most enjoyable part of my job is celebrating with patients when they succeed in achieving their goals and lifestyles they had hoped for. I look forward to meeting and helping you.

I grew up in Durham and I am extremely proud to work here at Duke. All of my family members still call the Bull City home. Most of my education was completed in Durham, except for four years I spent down the road in Chapel Hill. I played football there and developed an interest in orthopaedic surgery that led me home. I specialize in hip and knee replacement and am very fortunate to do so. We have the ability to help so many people with these operations. It is extremely rewarding to help someone get back to doing the things they want to do with their life.
