Overview
Philosophy of care | Every patient has a story and a history that includes medical, personal and social information. As a physician, I can contribute to that story in positive ways with my medical knowledge and experience. I enjoy working with patients to better understand who they are and how I can add to their lives by improving health outcomes, from pregnancy to perimenopause and beyond. | Why I entered medicine | During my high school years, I worked as a nurse’s aide at a local nursing home. I loved the women that I met there and hearing their stories. Learning about their vibrant lives was humbling. After that experience, I knew that I wanted to pursue a “caring” profession. I was raised by my grandmother and great-grandmother and always had tremendous respect for women. I attended an all-women’s college and there I fell in love with the sciences. When I entered medical school, OB/GYN was an obvious choice where I could pursue a science I loved alongside female patients whom I respected and admired. | Personal interests | Spending time with family and friends, yoga, playing board games, reading, traveling and trying to keep my house clean!.
