I never thought I wanted to be a doctor until I worked at Planned Parenthood after college. As a medical assistant working with patients, I realized my passion for women’s health. I am a gynecologic oncologist at Duke. I see women who have ovarian cancer, uterine cancer, cervical cancer, and vulvar cancer. I decided at a very young age that I wanted to become an obstetrician. I was 7 when I watched my own mother go through pregnancy and became fascinated with pregnancy and birth.
