Overview
John M. Richmond, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon with Tri Rivers Musculoskeletal Centers and a member of its sports medicine and shoulder surgery team. Dr. Richmond received his medical degree from Temple University in Philadelphia. He also completed his internship in general surgery and residency in orthopaedic surgery at Temple, where he served as team physician for the men's football team and men's and women's basketball teams. He completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the San Diego Arthroscopy & Sports Medicine Center. Dr. Richmond worked as assistant team physician for San Diego State University and the San Diego Padres. Dr. Richmond is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and serves as team physician for Slippery Rock University and Mars High School athletics. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society, Pennsylvania Medical Society, and the Allegheny County Medical Society.
