He completed residencies in general surgery and urology at New York University School of Medicine, followed by special training in endourology during a fellowship at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. During his fellowship, Dr. Mufarrij focused on metabolic kidney stone disease, surgery for complex kidney stones, percutaneous renal surgery and robotic surgery.
