He is a clinical assistant professor at Robert Wood Johnson-Rutgers University and is one of the core teaching faculty of the Eugene Salvati/ RWJ colorectal surgery fellowship. Dr. Kuritzkes’ practice focuses on the surgical management of colon and rectal cancer, diverticulitis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, and anorectal conditions. He often employs a multidisciplinary approach to maximize both treatment success and quality of life. He is skilled in minimally invasive surgical techniques, and uses robotic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and trans-anal minimally invasive surgery (TAMIS) whenever indicated; these techniques provide patients with the benefits of a shorter recovery time, and faster return to normal activity.
