I also see children in the Duke Children's Health Center Cardiology Clinic. I understand that a diagnosis of heart disease in pregnancy or childhood is overwhelming, and I strive to provide families with the knowledge and resources to navigate this difficult time and prepare for the future. We discuss the differences in their child’s heart, the care and monitoring their child will need, and what heart disease means for their child’s life long-term. In some cases, I have the privilege to care for children and their families from before birth until they are adults. Fortunately, most children with heart disease do very well, and it brings me joy to help children with heart disease grow and thrive. Her top areas of expertise are Emphysema and Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1).

I am a pediatric cardiologist who specializes in pediatric cardiac imaging, fetal/prenatal cardiology, and general outpatient cardiology. As a pediatric cardiologist, I take care of children with congenital or acquired heart disease from birth through adolescence. Additionally, as a fetal cardiologist, I have the privilege of supporting expectant families with babies who have congenital heart disease through pregnancy and delivery, and then caring for their children throughout childhood and into young adulthood. It is an honor to form lasting, meaningful relationships with patients and families and to watch children grow and thrive.
