Cyril O. Spann, Jr., M.D., joins Piedmont from Emory Healthcare. He is board certified in Gynecologic Oncology and graduated from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. During his time at Emory, he served as Chief of the Gynecologic Oncology Service at both Emory Midtown and Grady Hospital. A native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Dr. Adrienne Zertuche attended Emory College and graduated as a Phi Beta Kappa with a bachelor's degree in anthropology, human biology, and sociology. She then earned her medical degree from the Emory School of Medicine (SOM) and her master's degree in public health from the Rollins School of Public Health, before she completed her residency training with the Emory Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics.Dr. Zertuche has held several leadership positions within the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) and Georgia Obstetrical and Gynecologic Society (GOGS). She has also extensively researched Georgia's maternal/infant health and the obstetric provider workforce, and she uses her expertise to advocate at the Georgia and U.S. Capitols for women and children.
