Dr. Muzumdar is interested in obstructive sleep apnea in pediatric patients and his work has demonstrated the changes in autonomic function in children caused by sleep apnea. He is also interested in identification of obstructive sleep apnea in children with tracheostomies prior to decannulation of the tracheostomy. He was a member of the group that defined the effects of adenotonsillectomy in children with obstructive sleep apnea in a large multicenter study (the ChAt study). In his role as program director of pediatric pulmonology, he is interested in the effects of the COVID-19 epidemic on training, trainees, and faculty.
