One of my sisters was a nurse, and I watched her help our family, neighbors and in the clinic with her expertise and skills. That impressed me tremendously and gave me the impetus to pursue a medical career. It gives me a great satisfaction to help others in an immediate and concrete way, and to walk with them on their journey to healing. | Community involvement | My family and I just moved from New York, where I worked the past 30 years. I am looking forward to being involved in the community regarding environmental conservation and habitat preservation. We love animals. | Personal interests | I love to be with my family, which includes six dogs, two cats, two parrots and several chickens. We enjoy long walks with the dogs, playing tennis and ping-pong, and cooking traditional family dishes on the weekends.
