She worked as the geriatric medicine inpatient consultant on trauma and other services. Dr. Khan went on to establish a collaborative geriatric preoperative assessment clinic for older adults undergoing abdominal wall reconstruction surgery at Atrium Health. In 2021 Dr. Khan moved to Florida where she worked as faculty in the department of community health and family medicine at the University of Florida Health System in Jacksonville. Dr. Khan’s research interests include polypharmacy, improving surgical outcomes for older patients and advance care planning.
