I am an interventional cardiologist and researcher who has been at Duke for nearly 20 years. I enjoy being at Duke because of the “family” I get to work with every day. I fell in love with cardiology early in my medical training when I saw a patient in the emergency department who came in with a heart attack. The cardiology team swooped down and took him away to a procedure room, and in less than 45 minutes the heart attack had been stopped, and the patient was asking if he could go home.
