Overview
I am an assistant professor of medicine at Duke University Medical Center and am a board-certified clinical cardiologist. In addition to treating general cardiovascular conditions, such as hypertension, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, arrhythmias, and heart failure, I am particularly interested in women's cardiovascular health and prevention, an area in cardiology that is gaining much clinical and research interest. My practice could best be described as providing patient-centered comprehensive care in which the thoughts, wishes, and physical and psychosocial implications of living with heart disease are incorporated into the treatment and management plan.
