Dr. Sand earned his medical degree from the University of North Carolina's School of Medicine where he graduated with Honors. He completed his surgical internship and residency in Urology at New York University Medical Center. He received his undergraduate degree in Microbiology from the University of Georgia, graduating with First Honor status.
