I went to podiatry school in Chicago and completed a three year foot and ankle residency at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, CA and Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento, CA. Upon completion Dr. Runte received a degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM). In addition to this degree he is board certified in foot and ankle surgery by the American College Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS).Dr. Runte is a past President of the Sacramento Valley Podiatric Medical Society. He is also a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He has been serving the Nevada County community for 10 years.
