As a podiatric surgeon I am commonly asked, why do you like looking at feet everyday? The answer is simple. My studies began at the University of Georgia in Athens, GA in both physics and biology. My passion for the function of the human body combined with mechanics and force led to a facination of the primary structures responsible for making propulsion possible, the foot and ankle.I completed my doctorate in Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, IL. This was followed by a surgical residency with the Cook County Hospital System at Loretto Hospital in Chicago, IL. I began private practice in Topeka, KS in 2001 where I eventually became the Medical Director of the Foot and Ankle Clinic at Stormont Vail Hospital.The final link of my career will be joining Kansas City Bone and Joint in Overland Park, KS and Lee''s Summit, MO with a focus on surgical intervention. With 24 years of experience, my passion remains in preservation and restoration of the form, function, and mechanics of the human foot and ankle.
