I grew up mostly in Florida and love this state. I went to the University of Florida for my undergraduate studies, graduating with highest honors in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2002. I then went to Wake Forest University in North Carolina for both medical school (graduating in 2007) and residency (graduating in 2011). Since that time, I’ve been a pediatric hospitalist, initially working for the University of Oklahoma system before coming back home to Florida and to Nemours. I absolutely love the complexity and extreme diversity of inpatient pediatric medicine, and am especially sympathetic that kids don’t usually cause their own medical problems. It’s not their fault and I want to help them. As a mother of three young children, I feel very fulfilled and thankful every day for the opportunity to take care of children and their families. Most importantly, I am passionate about providing excellent patient care, teamwork and family-centered care. I’m also passionate about teaching and about pediatric medicine in general. Ever since I graduated from residency, I’ve been involved in the teaching of medicine. I enjoy the lifelong learning, the challenges of cases that are more difficult and the educational interaction with students/residents. I aim to inspire, challenge and encourage young learners to become successful educators and leaders in their respective fields, while truly enjoying what we do. I’m excited to be here at Nemours Children's Hospital and to be part of starting a residency program from the ground up with some truly amazing people. Nemours is definitely a unique and very impressive freestanding children’s hospital, and I feel privileged to be part of it. I was born and raised in Michigan. Growing up, I always enjoyed science and math. The idea of working in a health field occurred to me later, while I was running cross country and track in college. In many ways, the dedication and discipline I learned as a runner laid the foundation for my career in medicine. My patients are fun, sincere and so trusting that it inspires me to be their best advocate. One of the many things I like about my job is the opportunity to have great conversations every day. I enjoy them all — from a cooing contest with a two-month-old to a discussion about a stressful high school situation with a teenager. Children deserve access to health care, and I work to provide equal and inclusive care. I feel a responsibility to do everything I can to make sure all the children I see get the care they need. By following the simple rule about treating the person — not just the illness. I also look for little opportunities that can change the hearts and minds of others when it comes to interacting with patients and families who are dealing with illness. Dr. Brogan is rated as an Experienced provider by MediFind in the treatment of Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS). His clinical expertise encompasses Malnutrition, Kawasaki Disease, Rasmussen Encephalitis, and Delayed Growth. Dr. Brogan is board certified in American Board Of Pediatrics.

My parents left Poland for the United States when I was five, and for the most part I grew up in Florida since then. I found my life’s direction as a teen volunteer at an orthopedic hospital for children. My experiences there taught me about the kind of impact I wanted to make in the future. Treating children is the most satisfying job possible. Their unique resilience inspires me. It’s an indescribable feeling to see a child get well, go home from the hospital and know that I played a major role — with a team of people — to make this happen. I care deeply about continuously growing as a physician and exploring new ways to help my patients. In medicine, there is always room to learn, research and look to the future I feel tremendous empathy for families when their child is in the hospital, as I understand this can be an incredibly stressful experience. One way I can help is to try to create a very good working relationship. I work hard to communicate clearly, explain the diagnosis, results and plan of care in an understandable way. Furthermore, I strive to make sure that all of the family’s needs are met. Dr. Struk is rated as an Experienced provider by MediFind in the treatment of Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS). Her clinical expertise encompasses Delayed Growth, Cerebral Hypoxia, Rasmussen Encephalitis, and Malnutrition. Dr. Struk is board certified in American Board Of Pediatrics.

When should I see a Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS) doctor near Kissimmee, FL?

There are various reasons why you may want to see a specialist, such as:

    • Your primary care provider recommends it.
    • Your condition requires expert knowledge and specialized care.
    • Your symptoms persist or worsen despite treatment.
    • You need specialized testing or procedures.
    • You want a second opinion.

What should I consider when choosing a Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS) doctor near Kissimmee, FL?

It’s important to see a provider with expertise in your specific condition. Each provider profile in MediFind’s doctor database includes information on which conditions they treat, years of experience, research contributions, languages spoken, insurance plans accepted, and more.

How does MediFind rank Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS) doctors near Kissimmee, FL?

MediFind’s rankings are based on a variety of data sources, such as the number of articles a doctor has published in medical journals, participation in clinical trials and industry conferences, as well as the number of patients that provider sees for a given condition. Note that MediFind’s provider database is not based on user reviews, and providers do not pay to be included in the database.

What types of insurance are accepted by Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS) doctors near Kissimmee, FL?

Most profiles in MediFind’s doctor database include a list of insurance plans accepted by that provider. However, it’s a good idea to contact the provider’s office to make sure they still accept your insurance, then doublecheck by contacting your insurance plan to confirm they’re in network.

How can I book an appointment online with a Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS) doctor near Kissimmee, FL?

MediFind offers direct scheduling for certain providers using the “Request Appointment” button on that provider’s profile. If the schedule option is not available for a provider, tap the red “Show Phone Number” button on their profile to get their contact information. If you prefer to find providers who offer online scheduling, select “Schedules online” under the “Availability” category of the filter feature on the left side of the Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS) doctor search results page.

Why is it important to get a second opinion from a different Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS) doctor?

Second opinions are an opportunity to confirm a diagnosis and its root cause, learn about alternative treatment options, or simply gain peace of mind. Many people, especially those with serious diagnoses, get second opinions so they can understand all their options and make informed decisions, so don’t hesitate to get one if you have any doubts or need more information or clarification regarding your care. Note that some insurance plans require second opinions, while others don’t cover second opinions, so be sure to confirm with your insurance provider first.

How can I prepare for my appointment with a Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS) doctor near Kissimmee, FL?

Prepare for your appointment by gathering the following items:

    • Copies of medical records (dating back at least one year)
    • Your medical history, including illnesses, medical conditions, surgeries, and other doctors you see
    • Family history of disease
    • List of current prescription drugs, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal remedies or supplements including names and doses
    • Allergies to medications, food, latex, insects, etc.
    • List of questions and concerns
    • Your insurance card

You might also contact the provider’s office to see if they offer transportation or childcare services or if you’re allowed to bring a loved one for support or to take notes during your visit.

What questions should I ask my Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS) doctor?

    Here are some sample questions:

    • Can you explain in simple terms what this condition is and how it’s treated?
    • What symptoms or side effects should I watch for?
    • What tests will be involved, and when can I expect results?
    • Are there other specialists I need to see?
    • What’s the best way to reach you if I have follow-up questions?

How can I learn about the latest clinical trials and research advances my Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS) doctor may know about?

MediFind’s Clinical Trials tool asks you a series of questions to help you narrow down your search by health condition, age, gender, location, how far you’re willing to travel, and more. Each question you answer filters down the number of trials until you find the ones that are most relevant to you.

MediFind’s Latest Advances tool features summaries of recent articles published in medical journals. We use cutting-edge technology to scour medical publication databases for the latest research advancements on any given condition, then we simplify this information in a way that’s useful and easy to understand.

Can I filter my search to show male or female Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS) doctors near Kissimmee, FL?

Look for the filter feature on the left side of the Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS) doctor search results page. Select “Female” or “Male” under the “Gender” category to search for female or male providers exclusively. If the “Any” option is selected, it will pull results for both male and female providers.

Can I filter my search to find a Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS) doctor that offers video calls?

Look for the filter feature on the left-side of the Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS) doctor search results page. Select “Offers telehealth visits” under the Availability category to search for providers who offer virtual appointments (video calls).
