Originally from Augusta, Georgia Dr. Emmons received an undergraduate degree in genetics at the University of Georgia in Athens. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. Dr. Emmons completed and internship and residency in internal medicine at Emory University in Atlanta, a fellowship in cardiovascular disease, a fellowship in leadership in informatics, quality and systems and a fellowship in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology from the University of Colorado in Aurora, Colorado. He is board certified in internal medicine. Dr. Emmons clinical interests include advanced heart failure, ischemic cardiomyopathy, non-ischemic cardiomyopathy, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and amyloid cardiomyopathy.�I will spend the time to talk to my patients so that they understand why I make particular recommendations. I am passionate about educating my patients about their disease and working with them as a partner to provide the best care possible.�When not working, Dr. Emmons enjoys spending time with his wife and young son exploring Colorado.
