He was inspired to become a doctor by his surgeon father, citing his dedication to his patients and passion for his work. Similarly, he said, “By my work I can change people's’ lives and have a direct impact on improving their quality of everyday life.”He chose his specialty because, he said, “the biomechanics of our intervention intertwine with the physiology of the human being.”Dr. Beliveau received undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Montreal (Canada) and its medical school, and completed his orthopedic residency in Montreal. Away from work, he enjoys outdoor activities, hiking, biking, training bird dogs and upland bird hunting.
