He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons (ABOS) and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS).He has extensive surgical and academic training along with broad experience in the treatment of adult and adolescent patients with spine disorders. Over the past 20+ years, Dr. McCracken has completed over 5,000 spine procedures ranging from simple microscopic discectomy/decompressions to complex reconstructive surgery for scoliosis and spinal deformity (cervical and thoracolumbar). He has also served as a spine trauma surgeon at a Level 2 Trauma Center.Dr. McCracken has worked in Private Practice since 1997, originally based out of New Jersey. He relocated to Florida in 2021.
