Overview
Siddharth A. Badve, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic spine surgeon who specializes in the management of common neck and back problems.|Dr. Badve’s clinical interests include treatment of cervical disc herniation, lumbar disc herniation, degenerative spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, radiculopathy, myelopathy, spinal cord compression, spinal deformity, spinal trauma and other spine disorders with conventional and minimally invasive surgery. He attended medical school at Mahatma Gandhi Mission’s Medical College at the University of Mumbai and completed the orthopaedic residency from Seth GS Medical College and King Edward Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, India.|He also completed three different fellowship programs in orthopaedics at renowned institutions that included a year each in Spine surgery at William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan and State University of New York - Upstate Medical center in New York and another year in Pediatric orthopaedics and scoliosis surgery at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio.|Dr. Badve actively participates in academics and research, having published research papers on spine health. He is a member of the Scoliosis Research Society, as well as a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Hess’s clinical interests are spine trauma and pediatric and adult spine deformity, including scoliosis, kyphosis, tumors and post-traumatic deformities. These interests have led him to provide care in many third-world settings, mainly through his involvement with the Foundation for Orthopaedics and Complex Spine. He has performed reconstructive spine surgery in Ecuador, Ghana, Barbados and Jamaica since 1994. “I am proud to provide surgical spine care to patients at Geisinger, but also around the world.
