Dr. Siskind areas of research focus on kidney, pancreas and liver transplantation and he has authored over 25 manuscripts and books chapters in various scientific publications. Dr. Siskind received the American Society of Transplant Surgeons Young Investigator Award in 2014 for his research. His areas of clinical focus include kidney transplantation, pancreas transplantation, liver transplantation, dialysis access surgery including vascular and peritoneal access, hepatobiliary surgery, minimally invasive nephrectomy surgery, as well as complex general surgery. Dr. Siskind earned his medical degree while attending the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Yeshiva University in Bronx, N.Y. He completed his general surgery residency through Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra University - Northwell Health System in Manhasset, N.Y. He went on to complete his transplant surgery fellowship training at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. Dr. Siskind has been a transplant surgeon, assistant professor of surgery, and has performed over 300 transplant and complex surgeries in his career. He looks forward to bringing his knowledge, experience, and passion for patient care to further benefit patients within Texas Health. Dr. Siskind also serves on the Ethics Committee and Peer Support Committee for the American Society of Transplant Surgeons. When not with his patients, Dr. Siskind enjoys golfing, fishing, and cycling with his children. Dr. Siskind is also fluent in Spanish.
