I love working as an urgent care doctor because I get to connect with patients I have never met before, find out why they are there, and help them to feel safe and receive good care. After I completed my residency, I worked as an urgent care doctor in Cleveland, Ohio for almost six years. I worked in the underserved as well as the urban area of Cleveland. In January 2020, I moved to Raleigh and started working at Duke Health. I like reading books and cooking in my spare time and love traveling with my family. My first memories of health care are sitting with her in the ER while she did her nebulizer treatments and watching her do them several times a day at home. I was always very protective of her and her experience gave me the desire to become a doctor. During my family medicine residency, I fell in love with the fast-paced, spontaneous environment of urgent care. I enjoy urgent care because every day is unique and I have the ability to treat a wide variety of disease processes. I truly love practicing medicine. Prior to joining Duke Health, I practiced in the urgent care department of a hospital-owned system for five years, three of which I served as the associate medical director for urgent care.
