His research uses a variety of genetic analysis approaches to investigate the genetic influences of complex lung diseases, including integrative genomics, linkage analysis, familial aggregation analysis, rare variant analysis and epigenetic studies. He has authored over 320 peer-reviewed publications and is the recipient of the BWH Kenneth L. Baughman Faculty Mentoring Award.
