Dr. Abolhoda completed research and clinical fellowships in thoracic surgery at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Dr Abolhoda performs a myriad of thoracic and foregut surgical procedures, using robotic techniques, including Robotic Lobectomy, Segmentectomy, Thymectomy and Hiatal hernia/anti-reflux operations. He also performs high risk Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (off or on-pump) procedures, emergency Aortic Dissection Repairs and surgery for all types of Acquired Valvular Heart Disease.Dr. Abolhoda is a Diplomate of The American Board of Thoracic Surgery at the American Board of Surgery. He leads the Thoracic Surgery Case Observation site at the Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, serving as a mentor for fellow thoracic surgeons on the Intuitive Surgical da Vinci XI to refine skills, learn new surgical modalities for minimally invasive thoracic procedures.
