Overview
I have wanted to be a pediatrician since I was a little girl. Interacting with children and their families, watching kids grow and making them well again are what I most value as a doctor. My personal philosophy is to always consider the whole person and to treat the patient, not the illness. I believe that parents have invaluable knowledge concerning their children and can offer great insight into what works best for them. My husband is an elementary school teacher, and we have three boys. Outside of work, I enjoy photography, hiking, biking and playing with my kids. In medical school, I was fortunate to do international mission work and hope to volunteer again as my kids grow. I am also interested in wellness promotion, including obesity prevention, promoting and supporting breastfeeding, and child abuse prevention.
