The reasons for becoming a medical provider are different from the reasons I continue to be one. When I made neurosurgery my career, my intent was to help individuals to health with neurosurgery, and this was and continues to be an extremely rewarding part of my work. More recently I have additional interest in informing and educating colleagues and patients to prevent disease and creating systems and processes that promote health in populations.  In my free time I enjoy running, wine, gardening, hiking, pets, cooking and computer programming.
