Dr. Ibrahim W. Adamu

Dr. Swetha Ramakrishnan is a board-certified colorectal surgeon who grew up in North Brunswick, New Jersey. She graduated with the highest distinction from a combined 7 year BS/MD program from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in life science and a minor in German language. She received her MD degree from Jefferson Medical College where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She has been a member of the Piedmont Atlanta Hospital staff since 2009 and Piedmont Henry Hospital since 2015. She is also the primary colon and rectal surgeon at The Shepherd Center, a world-renowned rehabilitation center for catastrophic spinal cord and brain injuries. She is board certified in colon and rectal surgery, as well as general surgery. She is a Fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
