As the Director of Esophageal Surgical Services at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center, Dr. Groth will co-direct a newly created swallow center, which will provide a multi-disciplinary approach to managing patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease and esophageal motility disorders. He provides minimally invasive approaches to managing benign (e.g., gastroesophageal reflux disease, paraesophageal hernias, achalasia, benign strictures, and esophageal diverticuli) and malignant foregut disorders (e.g., malignant strictures and esophageal and gastroesophageal junction cancers), as well as Barrett’s esophagus.
