Dr. Denise Garcia was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She received her Bachelor of Science in engineering degree from Arizona State University and graduated Summa Cum Laude. After spending much of his third year of medical school at the Duke Eye Center doing research, the decision to pursue Ophthalmology was cemented. After an internship in Internal Medicine, he started training in Ophthalmology at Tulane University in New Orleans in 1991.Following his residency-training program, he moved to Phoenix in 1994, and started Chandler Eye Center in 1996.He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Association of Ophthalmology.
