I attended medical school in India, where, as a resident, I was first drawn to pediatrics because of the resilience I witnessed in sick children and the amazing way they bounced back after serious illness. I furthered my medical training in Britain, Canada and here in the United States. I have been a pediatric kidney specialist since 1995, and I have been at Duke since 2009. As a pediatric nephrologist, I care for children with high blood pressure, acute kidney damage, chronic kidney failure, genetic kidney disease and inflammation of the kidneys, as well as for children who need kidney transplants.
