Overview
Oklahoma native Emily Archbald, MD earned a degree in business marketing and later pursued a career in medicine at the University of Oklahoma. She has since gone on to help found the Saints Dermatology Center of Excellence, now SSM Health Dermatology Center of Excellence Dr. Archbald emphasizes to all of her patients that they are in control, meaning that her role is to give them all of the pertinent information, so that together they can make the best decisions regarding their treatment plan. She appreciates the opportunity to regularly educate patients and their families regarding best techniques for skin care and skin cancer protection. In addition to practicing medical dermatology, Dr. Archbald also offers a variety of cosmetic procedures and cosmeceutical products. Dermatologists have an intimate knowledge of skin structure and function, and are some of the best qualified physicians to therefore employ skin enhancing techniques. She approaches cosmetic dermatology as an art form, and recognizes that each treatment must be tailored to meet individual needs and goals. During her residency, she received additional training with nationally recognized cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Vivian Bucay in San Antonio, Texas. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and experiencing the culture, food, art and activities of both foreign and domestic cities. Her hobbies include cooking, gardening, yoga, painting and spending time with family and friends.
