Dr. Grayson J. Guzman

Grayson J. Guzman, MD, FACOG, is the supporting OB/GYN physician for MomDoc Midwives in Gilbert, an OB/CNM collaborative practice, which emphasizes that high-touch care and empathy should be at the forefront of providing women's health care. Dr. Guzman is originally from the Midwest. The son of two obstetrician/gynecologists with more than 80 years combined experience, he has followed in their footsteps in devoting his life to the betterment of women's health. However, he has departed from traditional maternity and women's health care and has progressed in evolving his practice patterns to include caring collaboratively for clients of the home birth midwifery community and patients of his certified nurse midwife partners. He attained his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology as well as his Doctor of Medicine degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He then completed his residency training in obstetrics, gynecology and women's health at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Guzman is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Guzman remains active in leadership positions. He has served on numerous medical staff committees at multiple facilities. Also, he currently serves as a volunteer site visit reviewer for the Arizona Perinatal Trust and has been appointed as Vice Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Dignity Health Mercy Gilbert Medical Center. Outside of medicine, Dr. Guzman enjoys travelling with his wife Kara, spending quality time with their energetic three children: twin sons Griffin and Gavin (5) and daughter Evianna (1), and playing with their 5-year-old poodle Hannah.Our OB/CNM collaborative practice emphasizes that high-touch care and empathy should be at the forefront of providing women's health care.
