Dr. Hernandez is an Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon and specializes in the treatment of benign and cancerous breast diseases. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons. He is a board certified surgeon and has recently re-certified with the American Board of surgery for the fourth time in his career.Dr. Hernandez completed his general surgery residency at Maricopa County Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona in 1983 and practiced General Surgery and trauma surgery in the early years of his career. He has been a recognized asset to the community and has received two humanitarian awards from the Desert Cancer Foundation of Arizona and the Fresh Start Women's Foundation.
