Dr. Eric S. Secrist
Overview
Eric Secrist, MD, was born and raised in Washington and spent a decade receiving his medical training on the east coast before returning home to begin his practice. This included training with the Rothman Institute and OrthoCarolina, two of the largest private practice orthopedic groups in the country. He also received fellowship training at the Carilion Clinic focusing on hip and knee replacements and revisions, with a particular focus on the anterior approach to the hip.His philosophy is focused on treating each patient as an individual and empowering them to maintain an active, healthy lifestyle. He works closely with a large team to ensure that all nonoperative treatment is attempted before considering surgery. If patients elect to move forward with surgery, he works closely with primary care providers to evaluate the whole patient – not just their orthopedic condition – and optimize their physical and mental health before surgery. During surgery, he employs a multimodal approach incorporating pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic approaches to pain management to help patients take as few opioids as possible and speed their road to recovery. The best part of his job is when people come back to his clinic with photos of themselves enjoying an activity they couldn’t do before their surgery. If you do – be prepared for him to ask for copies!Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife Taylre who is a physical therapist at Proliance Skagit Northwest Physical Therapy, as well as their two children. He also enjoys running, skiing, enjoying the many outdoor activities Washington offers, and following PNW sports teams, particularly the University of Washington.

Christopher Boone, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in complex fracture care as well as disorders of the hip and pelvis. Dr. Boone has strong ties to the Northwest. After playing two years of collegiate basketball, he finished his undergraduate degree in Biology at Western Washington University in Bellingham. He attended medical school at the University of Washington in Seattle and then completed his orthopedic residency at Beaumont Hospital in Michigan. After residency, Dr. Boone went on to complete subspecialty training in Traumatology and Hip and Pelvic Reconstruction at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. Dr. Boone has notable experience in the care of all types of fractures as well as treatment of complex hip disorders such as osteoarthritis, hip dysplasia, Femoroacetabular impingement (FAI), and labral tears. He has extensive training in complex hip surgery including peri-acetabular osteotomies, hip arthroscopy and labral repair, surgical hip dislocations, and minimally invasive anterior hip replacement surgery. He is also experienced in treating difficult nonunions and malunions as well as osteomyelitis or post-operative infections. Dr. Boone has also been a productive research scientist, presenting his work at national meetings and publishing articles in national and international medical journals. Dr. Boone’s outside interests include skiing and the occasional basketball pickup game. He and his wife Carmen Betz-Boone, also a native Washingtonian and longtime member of the Washington wine community, live in Redmond and spend much of their free time playing with their two boys. Special interests: Fractures of the upper extremity and lower extremity as well as fractures of the pelvis and acetabulum, non-unions, mal-unions, and bone infections, as well as disorders of the hip including femoroacetabular impingement (FAI), dysplasia, labral pathology, and treatment of hip arthritis with the minimally invasive anterior approach.
